PRIVACY POLICY

The term “we”, as defined below, refers to the owner of the TaksiApp application, Indreks Reis OÜ (Reg. Number 10395867), a private company registered at Peterburi tee 47a, Tallinn, Harjumaa 11415, Estonia.

 

1. The personal data we process

  • Name, phone number and email address.
  • Geolocation of the passenger, time and route of the trip.
  • Payment information.
  • Dispute information.
  • Identification information of the device on which the TaksiApp application is installed.

2. Purpose of processing

  • We collect and process personal data in order to unite passengers with drivers that will help them move more efficiently.
  • We show geolocation data and the passengers' phone number to drivers to ensure the efficiency of the service delivery. Geolocation data is collected only when the TaksiApp application is on.
  • We can use geolocation data to solve quality issues related to transport services.
  • We use contact information to notify passengers of updates to the TaksiApp app.
  • We collect data on drivers and passengers’ route trails to analyze geographical coverage in order to provide drivers with recommendations on the most efficient routes.
  • Your name, phone number and email address will be used to contact you.
  • We receive payment information for processing passenger payments on behalf of drivers for transport services.
  • Data is collected on one-to-one basis and stored to determine a controversy and resolve the issues of service quality.

3. Legal basis

  • Personal data is processed in order to provide contract services with passengers. We collect and process personal data provided by passengers during the installation and use of the TaksiApp application. Consent to personal and geolocation data processing is a compulsory condition for using TaksiApp services.
  • Personal data may also be processed legally, for instance, in the investigation and detection of fraudulent payments.

4. Data recipients

  • The passenger’s personal data is disclosed only to the driver who accepted the TaksiApp order. The name, phone number and geolocation data of the passenger will be shown to the driver.
  • The data will be hidden again from view by the driver upon completion of the transportation service.
  • Feedback on the quality of service provided by passengers is anonymous, and drivers do not receive the names and phone numbers of the passenger who provided the rating and feedback.

5. Security and data access

  • Any personal data collected during the provision of services is transmitted and stored in the data centers of Zone Media Ltd., which are located on the territory of the Member States of the European Union. Only authorized Indreks Reis OÜ employees have access to personal data and they can only access data to resolve issues related to the use of services (including disputes regarding transport services).
  • Geolocation data is processed anonymously and personalized only if geographical location data must be associated with a passenger to resolve disputes or fraud.
  • For research and scientific purposes, data is used in an unidentified form (anonymously)

6. Data correction

  • You can access and update your personal data through the TaksiApp application.

7. Period for retaining

  • Your personal data will be stored as long as you have an active passenger account. If your account is closed, personal data will be deleted (in terms of the policy set out in this section) from the databases, unless such data is required to be stored for accounting purposes, dispute resolution or fraud prevention.
  • Please note that removing the TaksiApp application on your device does not delete your personal.
  • If the TaksiApp application has not been used for a year, we will notify you and ask you to confirm whether the account is active. If no reply is received, the account will be closed and personal data will be deleted, unless such data is required to be stored for accounting purposes, dispute resolution or fraud prevention.

8. Deletion of data

  • You should also remember that any request to delete your personal data is possible only if we delete your account. The result is that you will not be able to use the TaksiApp application through an account that has been deleted.
  • We respond to any request to delete personal data sent by e-mail within a month and we will specify the period of data deletion.

9. Direct marketing

  • We will use your email address and / or phone number to send direct marketing messages if you have given us permission to do this through the taksiapp.ee website or through the TaksiApp application. We can personalize direct marketing messages using information about how you use the services of the application (frequency of use, trips, and payments).
  • If you no longer want to receive direct marketing messages, click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the received email or in the profile section of the TaksiApp application.

10. Dispute resolution

  • Disputes related to the processing of personal data are resolved through the customer support service (taksiapp.ee@gmail.com) or by contacting the TaksiApp data protection officer (taksiapp.ee@gmail.com).
  • Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (www.aki.ee) is acting as supervisory authority; you can contact it by e-mail info@aki.ee.
